Giles needed both feet from senior Cody Journell to record a narrow 11-7 victory over homestanding Lebanon. Journell used both feet as he ran for a first quarter plunge of 2 yards. In the second quarter, the Virginia Tech bound kicker only needed one foot as he kicked a 45 yard field goal. The first half points were just enough as the Spartans defense held on to register the team's third consecutive win for first year head coach Jeff Williams. Giles ends their non-district season with a 3-2 mark. |
