Radford women’s golf finished 11th at William & Mary’s First Market Bank Intercollegiate on Sunday. The Highlanders shot a 658 (321-337) at the tournament, which was being played at the Par 72, 6,063-yard Marsh Hawk Course at Ford’s Colony.
Freshman Hannah Coles (Coleshill, Birmingham, England), led Radford and tied for 17th overall, shooting a 160 (75-85). Sophomore Megan Leineweber (Salisbury, Md.), finished in second place for RU with a 164 (81-83), placing her in a tie for 36th overall. Junior Grace Franceschelli (Auburn, N.Y.), shot a 165 (79-86) to finish tied for 45th overall. Sophomore Maggie Watts (Paris, Ky.) tied for 79th overall with a 171 (86-85). Senior Brittany Hine (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) rounded out the RU scoring, finishing one stroke behind Watts with a 172 (88-84). Marshall won the tournament in a playoff over James Madison. Both teams finished with a 632. Bradley’s Bari-Lynn Erais took medalist honors with a 146 (70-76). Radford returns to action Monday, March 31 at the Longwood Invitational.
