In an exciting Three Rivers District JV baseball game played in Pearisburg, Giles outlasted Auburn 7-4, Thursday afternoon.

The Spartans jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.

Auburn scored one run in the 4th, two in the 5th and Altizer hit a solo home run in the top of the 6th to tie the game at 4-4.

Giles scored its fifth run in the sixth with Andrew Epling hitting a solo home run. The Spartans added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to make it 7-4.

Caleb Tilley picked up the win and Dylan Raymond came in the top of the sixth and picked up the save for the Spartans.

Andrew Epling was 2-for-4 with a single and a solo home run and Caleb Tilley was 2-for-4 with a single and double.
