Virginia Tech golfer Drew Weaver shot one-over-par 71 in the second round of the AT&T National, hosted by Tiger Woods, on........

.....Friday afternoon at the 7,255-yard, par 70 Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md. He missed the cut by three strokes.

Weaver, a rising senior from High Point, N.C., shot 75 on Thursday and was two-over at the turn on Friday, but shot one-under on the inward nine to finish with a two-day total of 146. He tied for 101st place.

Former Hokie Johnson Wagner followed his opening round even-par 70 with a four-under-par 66 and comfortably made the cut. He enters Saturday’s third round tied for 18th place.
