The Pulaski Mariners traveled to the state of Tennessee to take on the Elizabethton Twins Thursday night in Appalachian League action. Trying to redeem themselves after a............ ........5-1 loss to Bluefield on Tuesday, Pulaski did just that; they redeemed themslves on the road winning 4-3 . After the Twins took a commanding 3-0 at the end of one inning, the Mariners had a big inning themselves. Except this was inning number five. It all started with a Kalian Sams solo shot to center. Then, Dwight Britton smacked a three-run homer giving the Mariners the lead for good. Pulaski improves their record to 20-9 while the Twins fall to 18-9 on the year. Pulaski will once again play Elizabethton tonight @ 7pm in the second game of a three game series. |
