After a bye week, the Christiansburg Blue Demons return to the gridiron tonight as they travel down Rt. 460 to play Giles in Pearisburg. Coach Tim Cromer's squad is hoping to extend their record to 2-0 after a victory of Graham High School on August 22nd. The team used a dominant running game (that's an understatement) with their trio of running backs accounting for almost 500 yards. Giles, under first year head coach Jeff Williams, are coming off a loss to Blacksburg High. The Spartans continue to run the single wing offense. The Blue Demons will be seeking an improved defensive effort against the run. Tonight's game will offer a special challenge with the single wing offense, which Giles runs with effeciency and deception. Kick-off is set for 7:30 pm and can be heard on 101.7FM.
