The final week of September produced some impressive bowling performances from local keglers at the NRV SuperBowl in Christiansburg. The Moose Mixed League's top individual scores were Jonathan Gary with a 279 game. Ronnie Horton was one pin behind with a 278 game. Gary also edged Horton in high series with a 752 series while Horton rolled a three game set of 746. Other highlighted games were Frankie Howell and Danny Howell with games of 269. There were three other 700 series with a 720 by Howell, 714 by Andy Cox, Jr. and a 707 by Steve Hollandsw. High games among the ladies were lefty Karla Gragg with a 245, Julie Wessel with a 221. Gragg had the high series with a 644. Overall, the league's bowlers produced sixy five 200 games and fifteen bowlers who recored a series of 600 or better. In the Dixie League on Monday, September 29th, James Boltinghouse rolled a league high game and series with a 236 individual mark and 616 series. Bob Turner added a 224 game and Andrew Baggerly recorded a 211 game. Other high games were Roger Fillmore with a 207, Baggerly with a 204 and Bryan Litner with a 200 game. The NRV SuperTeen League, which competes Saturday mornings, produced eight 200 games or higher on September 27th. James Mabry had a league high 240 game and 656 series. Brandon King added a 224 game and Jonathan Hiser rolled a 222. Mabry added a 215 game and Ricky Caldwell registered a 213. Other high indivual games were Evan Moses with a 212 followed by Sean Malone and Mabry with games of 203 and 201 respectively.
